SMITH, Rendel W., 94, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away May 16, 2014. Born in Detroit, MI, he moved to Florida in 1975 from Columbus, OH where he owned and operated Classic Cars, Inc. He previously owned Ren Smith Ford in Sturgis, MI. He enjoyed golfing at Sunset Golf Course and playing Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen D. and son, David P. Survivors include a son, Rendel W., II; a daughter, Elana M. Peters; a sister, Patricia Haight; 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11am Sunday, June 1st at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131st St. Seminole, FL 33776, with a service to follow at 11:30am.
