88, of Largo, Florida, passed away Nov. 9, 2012 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, Florida.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 30, 1924, the son of John T. and Mazie (Ashman) Shepherd.
He moved to Florida in 1970 from Philadelphia, where he owned and operated Shepherd’s Grocery. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post #305, St. Pete Beach.
He is survived by 2 brothers, William Shepherd and Richard Shepherd, and his wife Janet; a sister, Florence Gavaghan; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm Wednesday, Nov. 14th at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home. Graveside Military Honors will follow at 2:30 pm at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
