

Steve was born on January 12, 1956, in Elmira, New York, to Thelma Hall Hollenbeck and Ralph B. Hollenbeck. He graduated from Horseheads High School and went on to build a successful career in telecommunications. Steve was the owner of Hi Tech Communications in Boca Raton, Florida, worked with Siemens in Boca Raton, and later served as Director of Operations at Bob Evans Hearing in Seminole, Florida.
Steve was a proud member of the St. Petersburg Lions Club and was always willing to lend his time and talents to help others. He had a deep passion for boating and fishing and treasured time spent with family and friends. Known for his unique skills, Steve could “fix” almost anything for anyone, and he did so generously. He was also gifted musically and enjoyed playing the harmonica, often sharing his love of music with those around him.
Steve is survived by his children, Steven R. Hollenbeck and Sara Jean Hollenbeck; his significant other, Diane Heron; and his sister, Lynda Evans of Seminole. He is also survived by his beloved nieces, Alicia Lienhart of Orlando, Shannon Brown, Becky MacNamara, and Erica Lienhart of Orlando; and his nephews, Aaron Mazza of Largo, Ian Hollenbeck of Erin, New York, Jacob Hollenbeck of Ohio, and Jesse Hollenbeck of Ohio.
Steve will be remembered for his generosity, his problem-solving spirit, his love of music, and the many lives he touched through friendship, family, and service.
A visitation will be held on January 30, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, located at 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776, United States.
Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same venue from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A reception will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location.
