McINNES, Thomas A., 79, of Seminole, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at home under the care of his loving family and hospice. He was born Jan. 17, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Duncan and Vera “Lay” McInnes. Tom and his wife, Maureen, moved to Florida in 1962 from Rhode Island. He retired as a Lieutenant for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department as a detention officer. Tom served in the Army Reserves and was a Roman Catholic.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Maureen; sons, Thomas W., David S., Robert B., and Christopher A.; a daughter, Kelly R. Collman; a brother, Harold McInnes; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services held 11:00am Monday, March 3, 2014 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home in Seminole. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.
