Val Morais was one of those special men that God used to strengthen and encourage me through my years of ministry.  He had a quiet temperament that never diluted his determination to do the best he could for The Lord Jesus.

It was my joy to lead him to The Lord in the early years of my ministry at Bible Baptist in Shady Hills.  He came to faith with a simple outlook of believing God and being faithful to his pastor.  If all of my members had been as faithful as he was, it would have made pastoring a much easier task.

Val was much more than a mere church member.  He was also a dear friend in the Lord.  As each of us draw closer to the time of our own departure, Heaven is more anticipated when we consider that Bro. Val is waiting to welcome us home.

This is not goodbye old friend, it is merely a temporary separation until we meet again at the Throne of Christ.  Your life of faithfulness is still an inspiration to me.

What a precious friend!  There was never any doubt that Val Morais loved his God, his family, and his pastor.  The encouragement and support Bro. Val gave to the ministry at Bible Baptist Church and our family truly meant more to us than words can express.  Proverbs 22:1 says, "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches...."  Bro. Val's service to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, was an inspiration to all and surely earned him a "good name".

Nancy, you and Bro. Val have always shown our family your sincerest love and care.  You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.  You and your family are in our prayers.  I love you dearly, my sweet friend and sister in Christ!

I was blessed to have known Valmond "Val" Morais for nearly five years.  I truly believe he was that one of a kind individual that you cherished each time you were in his presence.  I never met another person who could teach so many virtues with so few words and his actions.  I believe all those who came into contact with Val were witnessing an angel on earth.  Whether he was sent to improve our lives, our world or teach us to be better human beings, the presence of his grace was an amazing spirit among us.  I pray that the memories of Val's time on earth will be of comfort to his family and that I have the honor of seeing him again one day and being able to learn more from him.  May God Bless His Pure and Wonderful Soul.

Daddy I miss you so much. I love you with every ounce of my being. Thank you for teaching me so many things and allowing me to help others with the knowledge you bestowed upon me.

Dear Friends and Family. 
As you may well understand I am still fighting to get through each day. I was so very blessed having prayed for a good husband. God sent me the best! Our life was difficult but it only made our love stronger. His prayers were always fervent and sincere. He was loving, kind and gentle to all that were privileged to have known him. It will soon be six months since his passing and I still cry in loneliness for him. He was more than I prayed for or deserved. Thank you Lord for knowing who would fill that special place in my life. I am asking anyone who has not yet had a chance to make an entry to his guest book, to please do so soon. I would love to have a printing and will cherish the love shown from our loved ones in his passing. A most grateful and loving wife of 45 years. He will always be part of me. His memory will sustain me until I pass over. That will be a great day of Jubilee for me, being with Val, family and friends all together warmly surrounded buy the presence of the Blessed LORD Himself! Thank You Lord Jesus,

Oh Daddy, we are now in 2014. I can not believe your no longer here with us. The holidays surely were not the same. I love and miss you dearly. I was so blessed to have the most amazing father in the world. You stepped up to the plate and were the father that my birth father decide he did not want to be. For that I am forever thankful for him for doing so. I love you daddy and hold peace in my heart knowing that I will see you again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.  Many earthly hearts are hurting but many more are rejoicing in Heaven. He was a very special man and I'm glad I was able to be a friend of your entire family.

I remember Val to be a loving family man, hard working church member and fantastic friend.  Never a bad thing to say about anyone and always there if you needed anything.  Nancy, I know you feel that half of you is gone, but he is still with you and you will see him again.  Live your life the way he did and that will be your gift to him.  I know I will always remember him with love!!!

Dear aunt Nancy, Marc, Sarah and Bobby,

Since my mother died I realise more and more each day how much she had an peaceful influence on me that will stay with me forever. 

Although I did not know uncle Valmond a lot, my older brothers and sisters that knew him better said that he was a very special man.  Special in the sense that he was a man of great faith, valued his family and he had a gift of making us feel good whenever we were around him just like my mom always did.

My wonderful father forever, one day I will be in heaven with him.

Growing up as a child my father always showed a true example of love to me. He showed what true love was to me and with my momma and how he always loved momma at all times. With papa you always had a warm feeling of love and when you were next to him he would wrap his arms around you and tell you that he loved you, words you never forget as being a son. 
Growing up papa always had time for me to play ball and even play hide and seek. Papa would always make me laugh and feel that I was the best person in the world to him. As a son growing up, I felt that he could never do anything wrong. Love with papa was a thing that never ends at all; he was always there for me no matter what. Papa was never too tired to sit with you and show you how he loved and enjoyed to be with you even when he would fall asleep on your shoulder because he had a long day at work. 
That is when momma would walk in the room and find both of us asleep together. Papa always thought of others first and would always put himself last. When people or momma would ask papa to do something he was always willing to do it and with a big smile and always did it right the first time. Papa always showed me that he always loved to help people because God always needed him and made a wonderful servant on this earth for God. Papa always taught me that you can never out give God because HE would always out give you. Papa had a genuine love for God that always taught and showed me as a son. 
So many people's lives reflected the love he had showed them and how he had a true love to the end for them. It was a gift from God to have a father given to me like him. Papa changed many people's lives because he loved them for who they where and never thought less of anyone. Papa always wanted the best for people no matter who they where. 
Everyday when I wake up in the morning I thank God for a papa who loved me and did not just say it but showed how much he loved me continually throughout my life. When I get to heaven my papa will be there with his arms open wide and give me a hug and say “welcome home my son, I love you”. Thank you Jesus for a papa who was the best daddy a son could ask for on this earth. I love you papa. Thank You!

So sorry for your loss. But heaven has gained a great soul winner. I always admired VAL's soul winning efforts. He loved the Lord and always wanted to share Jesus! We know he has many up there that he shared Jesus with. We both respect Val so much. He was an encourager,gentle and kind. He made you want to go soul winning. I remember him going on Sunday afternoon after church and would tell us about it on Sunday night, and I remember thinking what dedication he had to giving the Gospel. We need more like him today! I don't know whether you remember us, but we were your next door neighbors, a very long time ago, on 320 Peach Orchard Rd. in Waterbury...Barbara & Pat Parziale. You were 314 Peach Orchard. The first time I met Val was when he drove the church bus over 30 years ago and picked up my children and myself and brought us to church.  Being new to the area, Val and Nancy took us under their wing.  I feel blessed that I was able to visit him before he passed on.  My heart goes out to Nancy, Sarah, Bobby and Marc.  Their loss is Heaven's gain.

He was a faithful and very loving  husband of 45 years to his wife Nancy Mathieu-Morais. Val leaves three Children, Marc Morais, Sarah Morais- McGibbon and Robert Morais all of the New Port Richey, FL area. Val was a retiree of Nautical Structures of Largo, FL.. Val was born in New Brunswick Canada and relocated to Waterbury CT in the early 60ies where he would eventually meet and Marry Nancy. Val passes after a long fight with Multiple Myeloma (Bone Marrow Cancer). He will be greatly missed.....
