He was born in Brunswick County on March 10, 1932 the son of the late Austin Long and Effie Evans Long.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Surviving are his loving family; a wife of 46 years, Carleen Ray of the home; seven children; a sister; a brother; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
