Barbara McGalliard

Bobbie was born August 8, 1937, in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Andrew Parker and Effie Louise Pierce Parker. She was a longtime active member of Jennies Branch Baptist Church. Bobbie enjoyed traveling across the United States, especially enjoying her trips to the mountains with her family. She had an infectious smile and loved to make others laugh. She was not afraid to speak her mind, but would never hurt anyone. Her hobbies included going to yard sales to find bargains, selling handmade jewelry, and being near the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Lonnie Hewett, second husband, Carl McGalliard, daughter, Andrea, and grandson, Logan.

Survivors include her children, Theresa Babson of Ash, Jennifer Parham of Greensboro, Kimberly Carter of Ash, and Hilyard Hewett of Ash; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday, March 9, 2026 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Jennies Branch Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Reverend Mark Smith.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service inside the sanctuary.
