

Douglas "Fuzzbucket" Earl Kinnear, of Shallotte, North Carolina, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on December 9, 1959 in Portland, Oregon to David and Dorothy Kinnear, Douglas was known for his love of his family, unique sense of humor, and his pride of his Scottish heritage.
He proudly served in the Army from 1977-1980 and was part of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, known as the "Blackhorse Regiment”. After serving his country, Douglas went on to graduate from Almeda University and work in the field of pharmaceuticals. He was passionate about Harley Davidson, motorcycle clubs, and the San Francisco 49ers. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jen Kinnear; his children William Gil, Levi Gil, Jenny Douthit, Brian Malkson, and Trevor Kinnear; siblings Debbie Barrett, D’Ann Grob, Dorothy “Dody” Brady, Doreen Kinnear, David Kinnear, and Daniel Kinnear and a large number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and more. He was preceded in death by both his parents; siblings Donnie Kinnear, Donna Kinnear and Bonnie Bright as well as one son, Josh Kinnear; and his first wife and one of his dearest friends, Kay Gil.
