Ms. Sheppard was born in Stanly County, North Carolina on June 15, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Clegg Wayne Mabry and Betty Morton Mabry. She was a retired family and support services specialist with the Department of The United States Army. Ellen was a member of South Brunswick Islands Rotary, Sunset Vision and the Committee To Honor American Veterans.
She is survived by her husband, David Sheppard; a brother, Clegg Mabry and wife June of Albemarle, North Carolina; a sister, Mary Beth Smith and husband Steve of Rockwell, North Carolina
