Mr. Mabe was born in Forsyth County, North Carolina on July 15, 1951, son of the late Everett Harrison Mabe and Lona Mae Grubbs Mabe. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. Mr. Mabe worked for over 40 years with Yellow Freight Trucking and drove four million miles with no accidents. He was a devoted father figure with a blended family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his neighbors but most of all he loved the Lord. He was preceded in death by two children, Tracy Mabe and Andy Bruce.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Mabe of the home; two children, Aaron Mabe of North Dakota and Dee Bruce of Savanah, Georgia; a brother, Jerry Mabe of Winston-Salem; a sister, Kathy Mabe of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held a later date.
