He was born in Cornwall, NY on July 17, 1931 the son of the late Arthur Nelson Patterson and Ruth McQuiston Patterson and was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Patterson. Mr. Patterson retired from Kelsey-Hayes Corp in 1993 after 37 years of service.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was an avid fisherman and member of Trout Unlimited in Marcy, NY.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Gianotti Patterson; his children Sandra Costa and her husband, Joe of Nashville TN, David Patterson and his wife Amy of Sunset Beach, NC, Jo Ann Lepore and husband, Henry Lepore MD of Sunset Beach, NC and Amy Clontz and husband, David of Shallotte, NC ; two brothers, Bob Patterson of Catskill, NY and Jim Patterson of NJ; a brother-in-law, Albert (Sonny) Gianotti of New Hartford, NY; three grandchildren, Adam Patterson, Devin Pritchard and Jack Pritchard and several nieces and nephews.
