Jon Francis Downey Sr.

Jon was born July 30, 1976, son of Diane April Downey and the late Robert Richard Downey. He had a heart of gold and was the life of the party. Oftentimes he was referred to as the "Cousin Eddie" of the family. Jon enjoyed spending time with his family but especially enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and taking care of his ducks and chickens. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Gerard and Judy April of Bound Brook, New Jersey; children, Brandon Kettrick of Shallotte, North Carolina, Jon Francis Downey, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Ashlee Downey of Supply, North Carolina, and Karissa Downey of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania; brothers, Robert Richard Downey, Jr. and wife Melanie of Easton, Pennsylvania and Nicholas April and wife Chelsea of Leighton, Pennsylvania; sister, Francesca Nelson of Bound Brook, New Jersey; and one grandson, Ethyn Clemmons.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Inurnment will be held in New Jersey at a later date.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from ten o'clock until eleven o'clock at the church.
