Mr. Joseph T. “Joe” Evans, 82, of Supply and Ash died Sunday March 22, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.
Mr. Evans was born in Brunswick County on July 22, 1932 and was the son of Joseph Weldon Evans and Thelma Long Evans. He was an avid Beekeeper and Gardner. He was a faithful member and active deacon of Myrtle Head Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Webbie Evans; two sons, Tracy Evans and wife Teresa of Supply, Joey Evans and wife Sherry of Ash; grandchildren, Aaron Evans, Leah Benton, Justin Evans, Daphne Sellers, Zoie Evans, Amanda Branch; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Rifton Evans of Ash; four sisters, Cindy Holden of Supply, Ethel Mae Simmons, Deulah Bell “Bug” Smith, Linda Stocks, All of Old Dock.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 2pm at Myrtle Head Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Martin and Reverend William Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in the Myrlte Head Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 at White Funeral Service, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte.
