

Rudy was born July 11, 1950 in Brunswick County, son of the late Kermit Rudolph Beck Sr. and Mae Lewis Beck. He was a member of Sharon Methodist Church. Rudy retired from the United States Army Reserves after 29 years where he served with the 993rd Transportation Unit of Wilmington, NC and also retired from E.I. Dupont after 25 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth “Rendy” Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Fulford Beck of the home; two daughters, Heather Clemmons of Supply and Rachel Hewett and husband Brandon of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandchildren, Garrett Clemmons, Brennan Dosher, Gavin Clemmons, and Avery Mae Hewett; two great grandchildren, Ellen Clemmons and Ethyn “Hoss” Clemmons; sister, Darlene Long and family of Leland.
Funeral services will be at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday September 20th at Sharon Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Pegan and Reverend Rudy Ramphal officiating. Burial will follow at Sabbath Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Gary Boling officiating. The United States Army will present military honors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Joe Long, Drake Phelps, Brad Fulford, Justin Fulford, Charles Morgan, and Garrett Clemmons. Honorary pallbearers will be the Methodist Men of Sharon Methodist Church, Marty Fulford, Taylor Phelps and Gavin Clemmons.
