

It is with tremendous sorrow that the family of Linda Aileen Faulkner announces her passing. Linda’s death took place at approximately 12 noon on Tuesday, June 24, 2024. Linda died at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach NC. Linda was 82 years old.
Linda’s death from respiratory failure was the result of complications arising from an accidental fall. Her passing – which she faced with faith and distinction – was a peaceful one surrounded by members of her immediate family.
Linda Aileen Faulkner was born October 3rd, 1941, to Marian and William Butler, the first of two children. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Anita Butler Isreal.
Linda’s primary love, aside from family and friends, was music. She majored in music at the Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music and sang professionally for several years in the Cincinnati area, appearing regularly on the Ruth Lyons 50-50T Club Television show and at various venues around the city before retiring to raise a family.
Linda never left her music behind. She played piano and sang at many churches, both as a guest performer and as choir director throughout her life. Linda’s home and life was a musical one, full of song and celebration.
Linda loved the beach community and spent the last 4 years of her life living at the beach with her husband James and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Pookie.
Linda is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Robert Faulkner, A daughter, Sandra Dale Lockey and her husband Morrison Lockey, 3 sons, Dennis Scott Dean, Stephen Paul Dean and wife Sharon Dean, Christopher Mark Dean and partner Jacqui Garcia, and two stepsons, James David Faulkner and wife Tessa and Brian Christopher Faulkner and wife Tina. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Linda requested that she be cremated and that her remains be scattered by family and friends off the coast Sunset Beach NC. A woman of modesty until the end, she requested that there be no viewing or funeral. There will be a celebration of Linda’s life at a later date.
Linda’s was a life well-lived and full of love. She will be exceptionally missed by everyone fortunate enough to know and love her.
