Marty J. Miller

Marty J. Miller 59 of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, passed away suddenly on January 23, 2015.

He was born on July 31, 1955 to Carlos E. Miller and beloved Mother, Joyce Graham Miller of Ocean Isle Beach, NC.

He was married to the love of his life, Terri Coble Miller on April 20, 2002 and they supported, enjoyed, loved and cherished each other for 12 wonderful years.

Marty is survived by his children, daughter, Tamara Ormandy and her husband, Jacob and their children, Jacob and Christian of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Ashley Miller and son, Justin Miller.

Marty is survived by his brothers, Arnold Miller and his wife, Terrie of Columbia, SC and their children, Adam and Catherine, Jayme Miller of Walterboro, SC; brothers in law, Patrick Coble of High Point, NC and Tim Coble and his wife, Nancy of Martinsville, VA and their children, Ben, Josh and Leigh Anne.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mickey Miller and son, Christopher Martin.

Marty retired after 38 Years of service from Duke Energy (Progress Energy/Carolina Power & Light), where he was loved by many friends and co-workers, in particular, John Branch and his wife, Tracy , also Bip Proctor and his wife, Diane.

Marty loved riding his motorcycle, collecting classic cars, traveling, NASCAR. He was lovingly known by many of his closest friends and family as “The Great Philosopher.”

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2014 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 3660 Express Drive Shallotte.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive Shallotte.
