Mary Catherine McCue

Cathy was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Stamford, Ct., Cardinal Cushing College, Boston, MA., and the Stamford School of Nursing, Stamford, CT. Over the course of her 35-year career as a Registered Nurse, she served at the Stamford Hospital, Stamford Ct., Ashlar of Newtown, Newtown, CT., and Bridebrook Health and Rehabilitation Center, Niantic, CT. To her collegiate friends, Cathy was known by the nickname "Woody".

Cathy retired from nursing in 2009 and relocated from Niantic, CT with her husband Thomas to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Cathy was an avid reader of various material and enjoyed her retirement days reading a book or magazine of choice and the challenge of completing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas, sons Matthew and Daniel, grandsons Ciaran and Reily, daughter-in-law Beth Claire, son-in-law Nando and extensive family of nieces, nephews and step grand-children.

Cathy was predeceased by her brother Charles (Chuck) Witzel.

Cathy had a great love of animals and wishes contributions be donated to the World Wildlife Fund.
