Mrs. Sigmon was born October 21, 1943 in Banner Elk, the youngest child of the late Earl Hughes and Ina Mae Osborne Hughes. She had a huge heart and loved her friends and family dearly. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Sigmon and siblings; Jimmy Hughes, Jeanette Farthing, Gene Hughes.
Survivors include her son, Kent Sigmon and wife Pebbles of Shallotte; her siblings, Dan Hughes of Tennesse, Louie Hughes of Flordia, and Rachel Hull of Tennessee
