Mr. Beckham was born July 31, 1942 in Lancaster County South Carolina, son of the late Paul Cleo Beckham and Ethel Kennington Beckham. He worked as a crane operator for CP&L for many years. Robert also completed BLET and became a police officer for the Town of Boiling Spring Lakes.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Davis Beckham of Nichols; daughters, Cathy Beckham and Sandy Hunter; stepchildren, Cindy Hayes, Patty Miller, Donna Little, Timmy Davis; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Private graveside services will be held.
