Sidney "Dale" Grissett

Dale was born July 8, 1957 in Southport, son of the late John Sidney Grissett and Eva Marie Smith Grissett. He was the proud owner of Grissett Hardwood Floors. Dale enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and playing softball. His true love was spending time with his grandchildren. Being known as PaPa Dale to many, he loved being with his family and friends. Often called "The Mayor of The Dirt Road" you would find him riding his beloved bulldog "Boss" on his side by side. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Tammy Grissett.

Survivors include his wife Robin Grissett of the home; children, Shaunn Dale Grissett and wife Blair, Tiffany Marie Babson and husband Chris, and Kelsey Canady Smith and husband Tyler; brothers, William Gordon Grissett and Richard Hugh Grissett; 5 grandchildren, Summer, Gage, Sydnee, Kodi, and Sami; and 1 great granddaughter, Hazel; and numerous friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 30, 2026 at three o'clock in the afternoon at Emmanuel Outreach Church with Reverend Donnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at their home.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Ward, Jason Ward, Johnathan Long, Zeke Canady, Tyler Babson, and Dakota Smith.
