Virginia Sands

Virginia was called home to heaven on March 24, 2026. She was born July 25, 1941 to Willie Pinkney Tilley and Fannie Mabe Tilley in Stokes County NC. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Vickie Sands, Wanda Mabe, Sherri Sams; brother, Russell Tilley; sister, Glenda Tilley Shaw; and grandchild, Shianne Mickey.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Ricky (Penny) Sands; grandchildren, Brandi (Richard) Epperson, Dustin (Crystal) Sands, Brittany Wilson, Matthew Sams, Heather (Tara) Gentry, Morgan Sands, Michael (Laura) Blakley; sister, Donna Tilley; brothers, Ronnie (Linda) Tilley, Tommy Tilley; many great-grandchildren; a favorite and lifetime friend, Libby Langley. Her companion while at home was her dog Karley which she loved dearly. Virginia was a long haul truck driver for many years. She loved the Lord and spent many hours with Linda Tilley reading her Bible and thanking God for loving her.
