Darlene J. Specht

Darlene was born April 10, 1941 in Michigan City, Indiana to LeRoy and Dorothy (Ruggles) Ziebart.

On February 23, 1963 she married Roland A. Specht of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1994.

She graduated from Elston High School in Michigan City, IN, Class of 1959. She later attended vocational school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in Labor and Delivery at Memorial Hospital in Michigan City.

Darlene was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church in Michigan City, IN before moving to Sheboygan where she attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Darlene is survived by her children, Dale (Margaret) Specht of Indiana, Dawn Stevenson of Wisconsin, Wayne Specht of Colorado, Hal Specht of Wisconsin, and Penny Specht of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Amanda and Megan Shaker of Sheboygan; daughter-in-law Janet Specht of Florida; Aunt Lou Mae (Richard) Ruetz of Indiana; and other family.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her stepson, Carey “Skip” Specht of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Darlene’s name.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ballhorn Chapels in Sheboygan. Rev. Dan Babbel, Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels from 10:00 am until the time of service.
