

Herbert was born February 24, 1933 in Webster County, Missouri, the son of Arnold E. and Minnie (Owings) Semsch. He was a graduate of Miami High School in Amsterdam, Missouri. He served his country in the US Army for two years and remained in the US Army Reserves for a number of years.
For thirty four years Herbert was employed at Bolens Corporation in Port Washington and also worked part time as a Security Guard for Burns Security Services.
He was a charter member of Mapledale Baptist Church where he served as Deacon and Trustee for many years.
On August 4, 1956 Herbert was united in marriage to Grace E. Gibson at Bethel Baptist Church in Sheboygan.
In addition to his wife, Grace, he is survived by three sons, James A. (Nee) Semsch, Daniel L. Semsch, and Nathan A. (Tracey) Semsch all of Sheboygan, two daughters, Dawn M. (Brian) Damrow of Quincy, IL and Beverly (Timothy) Ehler of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Chantel) Semsch, Jr., Joseph Semsch, Heather (Zachary) Pettus, Seth Damrow, Aaron Damrow, Peyton Semsch, Christian Cabella, and Christopher Ehler; three great-grandchildren, Michael Pettus, Katelyn Semsch, and Kyra Semsch; one brother, Arnold E. (Wanda) Semsch; two sisters, Mary Jane Bise and Eva Hall; one sister-in-law, Nadine Semsch; and other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie (Marion) Wade, Mildred Semsch, and Audrey (Glen) Justis; one brother, John Semsch; and two brothers-in-law, LeRoy Bise and Floyd Hall.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Mapledale Baptist Church, 4015 Superior Ave., Sheboygan, WI. Rev. Guy L. Fredrick, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Garden of Valor.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

His life was dedicated to God and to his church.
Jesus was his Savior and best friend.
