

Ray was born July 31, 1941 in Crandon, WI to Samuel and June (Fergot) Plummer.
He graduated from Crandon High School, Class of 1959, where he played and coached basketball. He graduated from Langlade Teacher’s College and went on to become a teacher and principal at Crestwood Elementary School in Antigo.
He moved to Sheboygan in 1970 where he worked at Sheboygan Paper Box and raised his family. He later worked at and retired from the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department and returned to Sheboygan to be near to his family.
Ray was an avid sports fan, in particular the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He loved deer hunting and golfing, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Raymond is survived by his three children, Toni (Jeff Hermann) Albert, Amy (David Groves) Plummer, and Julie (Jeff) Gahagan all of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Sarah and Mitchel Albert, Justin and Alex Pieper, Jeremie Sabourin, Claire Gahagan, and Nathan Groves all of Sheboygan; brothers Gary Plummer of Sheboygan and Jay (Michelle) Gobert of Crandon; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; his daughter, Pamela Plummer; and an infant son, Joseph Plummer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory. Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, Pastor of St. John’s United Church of Christ will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels from 11:30 am until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in Ray’s name.
