

Walter was born August 31, 1943 in Palmer, Massachusetts to Robert and Ruth (Schofield) MacKenzie.
He served his country in the US Army from 1960 to 1963 stationed in Germany and France. On September 24, 1977 Walter and Anna Lampe were united in marriage at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.
For thirty years Walter was employed at Kohler Co., retiring in 2008 as a forklift operater. His hobbies included playing cards and shooting pool and darts.
In addition to his loving wife, Anna, he is survived by two sons, Neil (Lynn) MacKenzie of Lake Villa, IL and Scott (Noel) MacKenzie of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl MacKenzie; one sister, Joan (Frank) MacKenzie; his in-laws, Kathryn Langsdorf of Park Falls, WI, Delbert “Arnie” (Bonnie) Lampe, Richard (Ruth) Lampe, Mary (Joe Perez) Lampe; his best friends, Bonnie and Keith Brunette; and all his friends at Four of A Kind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters and a brother-in-law, Jerry Langsdorf.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Ballhorn Chapels. A time of visitation and support will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
Walter’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care and support these last few months.
Walter will always be remembered for his willingness
to help others and his generous heart. He will be dearly missed.
