Isabell Laura Shuler

Mrs. Isabell Laura Jenkins Shuler, 91, a resident of Shenandoah, passed away on Friday morning, October 28, 2011 at Willow Estates Retirement Home. She was born in Shenandoah on May 27, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Edgar A. and Minnie Griffith Jenkins. Mrs. Shuler lived her entire life in the Shenandoah area. She attended Shenandoah High School and was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. On January 16, 1937 she married Ray W. Shuler, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, William W. Shuler of Shenandoah; a daughter, Mary Ann O’Leary of Triangle, VA; five grandchildren, William W. Shuler, Jr., Joseph R. Shuler, Chris O’Leary, Caitlin O’Leary, and Patrick O’Leary; six great- grandchildren Hunter, Mark, Blake, and Kolton Shuler, Max and Myles O’Leary; one great-great-granddaughter, Khloe Shuler; and one brother, James B. Jenkins of Shenandoah. The family will receive friends 7-8:00 PM, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Lindsey-Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 30, with Rev. Carrie Talbot officiating. Burial will follow at Coverstone Cemetery.
