Georgia V Cobble

Mrs. Georgie Cobble, age 80, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Louisville to the late George and Edith Buchanan on Monday, January 15, 1945.

Georgie has been a lifelong member of Shepherdsville Gospel Chapel, and she loved her church family. She loved to have her hair fixed and would never leave home unless it was fixed. Georgie was a poet at heart always writing sweet poems for her family and friends. She was a loving mom, Mamaw, sister and friend that will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert “Bobby” Cobble, her son Kevin Cobble, siblings Lisa and Marelle.

She is survived by her loving children, Robby (Tammy), Marty (Sharon), Martin (Shelby), and Travis (Ashley); 4 grandchildren in addition to Jenny (Randy), Mandy (Mikel), Nicky (Mark), Rachel (Tony) and Robin (Seth); 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings Leo Buchanan (Michelle), June Jeffries; daughter-in-law, Lily Cobble along with a host of dear family and friends.

The family has chosen cremation and has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with her care. A Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Shepherdsville Gospel Chapel at 1pm family and friends are welcomed at 12 noon at the church prior to the service.
