Hershel Glenn Jackson

    Hershel Glenn Jackson, age 81 of Shepherdsville, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born in Louisville, KY on Monday, August 3, 1942, to the late Hershel and Pauline Jackson. 

   He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Wayne Jackson, along with his siblings, Bonnie Ogle, Freda Gould and Ricky Jackson. 

   He was an Army Veteran and enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

   He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Ricky Jackson (Cindy), Jerry Jackson (Cathy), Michael Jackson and Cindy “Sissy” Jackson (Tim); his siblings, JD Jackson (Gayle), Merle Jackson (Donnalee), Benjamin Jackson (Hazel) and Darrell Jackson; along with 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; mother of his children and wife of 15 years, Patricia Jackson, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

  Funeral service will be at Noon Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Visitations will be Friday 3 pm until 8 pm and Saturday, 9 am until time of service at Noon.
