James "Jim" Henry Pope

   James Henry “Jim” Pope, age 79 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 5, 2022. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a former employee of Naval Ordinance and a member of Machinist and Aeronautics Local 830. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Pope; son, James Timothy Pope; parents, William and Eleanor Trunnell Pope; sister, Margaret Herzfeld and aunt, Alice Pope.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his son, James Patrick Pope (Hong); beloved granddaughter, Angel Pope; fur-baby, Freebie and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conduct at noon on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 1 pm until 8 pm and on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 9 am until time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
