James "Johnny" H. Dennison

   James “Johnny” Hartford Dennison, Sr., age 92 of Pleasure Ridge Park, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 22, 2023. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, United States Air Force and the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his sons, James “Jimmie” Dennison, Jr. and Joseph “Freddy” Sherrard; wife, Edith Dennison; granddaughter, Monica Sherrard; brothers, Leslie, Herman, William and Jackie Dennison; sisters, Angie Watts, Dinah Chandler, Mary Rehberg, Edna Jones and Joan Evans.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his grandson, James H. Dennison III (Kim); great-grandchildren, Brayden Dennison, Emma Dennison and Sophie Dennison; granddaughter, Shannon Dennison; great-grandchildren, Michael Carroll, Kylee Carroll, Jacob Cummings, Edon Cummings and Annie Cummings; grandson, Joey Sherrard; great-grandchildren, Hayden Sherrard, Gabby Sherrard, Whitney Sherrard, Kayla Malott, Cameron Malott and Joey Sherrard; granddaughter, Bailey Eichenberger; brothers, Joe Dennison (Grace), Harry Dennison Jr. (Judy); sisters, Martina Copelin (Pete) and Margo Lindsey (Steve) and a host of family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 7 pm in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with a Graveside service at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff, Kentucky on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 12:30 pm. Friends may pay their respects on Friday, January, 27, 2023, from 4 pm until time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
