

He was a Christian by faith and a member of River of Life Church of God of Prophecy. He was a Fern Creek High School graduate and retired from GE after 37 years. James was a simple and kind man. He loved his jeep and hot rods and believed that the bigger the tires the better. He also enjoyed taking road trips and walks on the beach. He liked the days when he and Lavon could grab their fishing pole and head off to the creek. He was a loving husband, dad, brother and friend but his greatest blessings called him Papa or Papaw, and he will greatly be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Tommy ”Ray” Noe and sister Shirley Noe.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years Lavon (Amburgey) Noe; a daughter, Stormy Halifax (Kevin) of Florida; a son, James Aaron Noe (Brenda) of Alabama; grandsons, Shane, Skyler and Braxton; siblings, Harold and Hazel along with a host of loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, family and friends.
The family of Mr. Noe has chosen cremation and has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with his care. A Celebration of James's Life will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 6901 Roseborough Court in Louisville from 2pm.
