John Thomas York

John Thomas York age 71 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 with family by his Side. He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, John and Edith York; mother, Mildred Allen; brothers, James Northener, Ricky Goode, and Jack Howard. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Cathy York; son, Michael York (Lisa); daughters, Lorrenda York, Cathy Brook (Scott), and Tammy Brown; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Lanny Northener (Lona); and a host of other family and friends. John was an Army Veteran, where he proudly gave his service for our nation. Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m. on Friday in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S.
