Larry Wayne Lewis

   Larry Wayne Lewis, age 83 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 14, 2022. He retired from International Harvester in Louisville and was an avid supporter of Kosair Children’s Charities. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mann Lewis; parents, Roy and Flossie Lewis; grandsons, Jason King and Justin Mahaffey and several brothers and sisters.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Wayne Lewis (Dana); daughter, Diane King; grandchildren, Tonya King (Bethany), Tara Lewis, Josh Lewis (Justin) and Jenna Lancaster (Patrick); great-grandchildren, Isaak, Katherine, Jason, Anthony, Jayda, Jayla and Jace and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 6 pm in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at noon at Hebron Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 1 pm until 6 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.

    In lieu of flowers, donations to Kosair Children’s Charities and donations to Children in Flight Scholarship to be given out in Mr. Lewis’ name are appreciated.
