

Laura Marie Jackson, age 96 of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 22, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Laura was born on July 15, 1927, in Bullitt County to the late Herman and Ethel Jones.
Laura was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She liked to work seek-n-finds. Laura loved her telephone and enjoyed talking with her family and friends. She was a shopper that never turned down a trip to the grocery store. She was a hard worker that would always pitch in and help others. A loving mom, sister and Nannie who will be missed by all those that loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Haskell Jackson, a son-in-law, James Spratt, infant daughter, Janice E Jackson, siblings, Loretta Stansbury, and Wayne Jones.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Glenna Spratt Hatfield (Jimmy); her son, Sonny Jackson (Judy); her sister, Dorris Ellis; her grandchildren, Sharron Kaufman (Bobby), Kevin Spratt (Kim), Karen Huff, Mindy Krebs (Terry), Kelly Roach (John); great-grandchildren, Whitney (Dave), Zachary (Keri), Devin (Tessa), Celesta (Caitlin), Kayla, Blake (Carly), Brandon (Kayla), Shelby, Mason, and Keatin; her great-great grandchildren, Addyson Marie, Fletcher, Raylon James, and Eli along with a host of other loved ones.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, January 26, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman St. in Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3pm until 8pm on Thursday and Friday from 9 am until the time of service at 2 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
