

Mary Grace Riley, age 80, of Henderson County, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 9, 2024. She was born on June 15, 1943, in Henderson County, Kentucky to the late Jack and Ruth Mae Fambrough.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Bill, Carl, Henrietta, Janie, and Rebecca, her 1st husband, Robert W. Perry, and 2nd husband, James Riley.
She was a Christian by faith and a member of the Church of Nazarene and the Church of Christ. Mary Grace never met a stranger and that continued until her death. She was a huge fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Mary Grace loved her family with all her heart. She loved hearing about their achievements and prayed for their success. She was a courageous traveler, seeing much of the continental U.S. as well as living in Hawaii and visiting Germany.
Mary Grace believed that her greatest achievement was her work at the Chaney House Group Home. She loved helping people succeed. Especially those who were facing personal obstacles. She touched so many lives with her love and compassion.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Troy S. Perry (Cecelia); grandchildren Tasha M. Perry, Shan R. Perry, and Shannon Smith; greatgrandchildren, Alexia McClay, Aurora Smith, and Brian McClay; her siblings, Linda, Debbie, and Jack, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The Riley family has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with cremation services. A Celebration of Life will take place later in the spring in Henderson County. The family has asked in lieu of flowers and to honor Mary Grace for donations to be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or to your local animal shelter.
