He was also preceded in death by his siblings, John C. Newman, Lana Oakes, Sherman Newman, and Fred Newman.

Randall was a simple man that enjoyed working, fishing, family gatherings and especially enjoyed his wife and daughters’ potato salad. He will be sadly missed by so many who loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 49 years, Jacqueline Newman; his children, Melanie McCubbins (Jeffrey), Randall Newman Jr., Sherman C. Newman and Crystal Newman (Jared Williams); his brother, Bill Newman; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and his fur baby, Snuggie; along with a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be at 6 pm Sunday, March 17, 2024, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street, Shepherdsville with burial on Monday at 10 am at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 1 pm until the time of service at 6 pm at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
