Roy David Lester Jr.

Roy Lester Jr., age 88 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 1, 2021 with loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lester Sr. and Margaret Lester; wife Gertrude Lester and daughters, Sharon Shoptaw and Joy Lester.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Ronald Lester (Diana), Steven Lester (Millie), Terry Lester, Julie Prewitt (Dennis), Kenny Lester (Edna), Gilbert Lester (Janet) and Kevin Lester (Liz); brother, Carlos Lester; sisters, Carol Bolin, Doris Dezern and Helen Williamson; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Mt. Eden Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 11am until 1pm on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
