Terry Lawrence Blatz

  Terry L. Blatz age 68, of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Terry was born on Tuesday, November 9, 1954, in Louisville to the late Theodore Blatz Sr. and Dorothy Blatz. 

  A Catholic by faith and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Terry served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He loved fishing, hunting, and his overhauls. He loved his family and get togethers. He never cheated when playing cards and you never allowed him to be the banker in Monopoly. 

  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Blatz, his siblings, Gerry Schepers, Ted Blatz, and Tommy Blatz.

  He is survived by his daughter, Erin Mason (Derrick); a brother, Martin Blatz (Belinda); a sister, Helen Blatz, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  Funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 3 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.
