

Alvis Albert Daniels (Albert) went to his Heavenly Home when he passed away peacefully at his son’s home on Friday, May 24, 2024. Albert was born on May 7, 1942, to the late Robert Edward Daniels and Minnie Lillian Smith Daniels of Horse Cave, KY. He was the second oldest child of 7 children, and he started school at Lee Seminary, a one room schoolhouse, and attended Caverna School, which was grades 1-12, but began working, so he received his GED in 1983. He married his loving wife, Virginia, on May 17, 1960, and they moved to Cave City, Louisville, and to Kingswood in Harned, KY. He retired from the Hardinsburg office of Meade Co. Rural Electric Co-op after 20 years of service as a line foreman/supervisor, following his service at Adams and Mulberry and P&E Electric in Louisville and Electricom in Indiana. After retirement, he also helped with home construction. Albert accepted Jesus Christ at Meadow Hill Baptist Church in Okolona, under the pastorate of Bro. Joe Hampton, became a member there and served as a Sunday School teacher for elementary aged boys, a trustee, a deacon, and sang in the choir. He was also a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Harned, KY, where he served as music leader and helped to start and build 2 churches: Rough River Baptist Church and Harvest Baptist Church, where he served as music leader and deacon. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was known as brother, husband, dad/daddy, granddaddy/grandpa, great grandpa, and friend to all. Albert enjoyed playing church league softball, his family fishing trips on Green River, hunting with his brothers in law, children, and grandchildren, growing his famous tomatoes and other vegetables in his garden, woodworking, and attending antique auctions with his wife, Virginia.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, 5 of his siblings, Martha Sue Daniels Fulkerson(Larry-Marietta, GA), Bettie L Dale Nunn(Jerry-Horse Cave,KY), Patricia Ann Scott, Billy D Daniels, and Donald Daniels(Billie Cheryl-Cave City, KY), his father and mother in law, Albert Scott Page and Eula Mae Doyle Page, brothers and sisters in law, Bennie Page(Barbara), Billie Page, Byron Page, Roberta Page, Bessie Page Waid(Larry-Maryville, TN)
Survived by his loving and faithful wife of 64 years, Virginia Ruth Page Daniels, his children, David Albert Daniels (Yalonda), Dennis Wayne Daniels, and Kimberly Faith Daniels Day (Billy), a sister, Anita Fay Daniels Lucas (Jim-deceased),sisters and brother in laws, Alberta Page Wright (Orval-deceased), Bobbie Page, Brenda Page Parker(Michael-Del Rio, TX), grandchildren, Amanda Daniels Chappell (Chad), Alan Matthew Daniels (Kandace), Brandon David Daniels(Katelin Mulloy), Steven Tyler Daniels, Taylor Christian Daniels, Kevin William Day (Sara Jo), Kathryn Elizabeth Daniels, and Elizabeth Paige Day, 13 great grandchildren, and countless other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday from 9:00am until his service time at 10:30am at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.)
Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the funeral home with burial in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International, the Music Ministry of Cecilia Baptist Church, or Hosparus of Louisville.
