Arthur Lewis

Arthur Lewis, age 89, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, August 18, 2023.   He was born in Buffalo, KY on January 5, 1934, to the late Leon Lewis and Francis McDowell Lewis.

He was a retired restaurant owner, a member of the Highland Park Lodge #865 F&AM and had served in the U.S. Army.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Jaggers Lewis; daughter, Pam O’Malley; sons, Brent Lewis, Neal Lewis, Christopher Lewis and Jeff Lewis; grandchildren, Michael O’Malley, Maria Lewis, and Jamie Alvie; great grandchild, Emma Alvie; half-brothers, Rodney McDowell (Cathy) and David Lewis (Davita) and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon on Friday, August 25, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
