Barry Wade Martin

Barry Wade Martin, age 70, of Shepherdsville, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 17, 2023.   Barry was born in Ardmore, Alabama on April 20, 1953, to the late William “Bill” Martin and Nannie Mitchell Martin.

Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Brooks (J.B.); brothers, Kenneth Martin, Howard Martin, David Martin and Charles Martin, Billy Martin (Ann) and Bobby Martin (JoAnn); sister-in-law, Polly Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Lynnette Martin; son, Eric Martin (Daisy); stepdaughter, Blair Cockerill, grandsons, Guy Stitt and Dean Stitt (Tawney); great grandchildren, Kinlee Stitt, Olivia Stitt and Lainey Stitt; brothers, J.W. Martin and Donnie Martin (Judy); sister, Peggy Magnusson (Danny); sisters-in-law, Glinda Martin and Audra Martin and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
