Beatrice Frey Wood

Mrs. Beatrice Frey Wood, age 89, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Mrs. Wood was born in Jefferson County, KY on July 31, 1934 to the late Phillip Carl Frey and Sarah Jane Murphy Frey, graduated from Southern High School Class of '54 and retired from K-Mart.

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Jerome Wood; grandson, Phillip Wood; siblings, Alvin Nichols, Elizabeth, Estell, John Carl “Tubby”, Bernice Marie, John Phillip, Phyllis and Beatrice and son-in-law, Donald F. Pittman preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Anthony Davis Wood (Cheryl Ann) and Cindy Lee Pittman; grandchildren, Charles Davis Wood, Phillip Andrew Wood, Daniel Patrick Wood and Sarah Beth Wood; brother, Larry Michael and a host of other dear family and friends. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home at 2pm.
