Bertha Ann Johnson

Mrs. Bertha Ann Johnson, age 85, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 30, 2023. She was born on October 15, 1938 to the late Leslie S. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Risinger in Louisville, Kentucky. She worked as an artist creating jewelry and served at Cracker Barrel for 15 years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Louis Johnson, Sr.; son, Gilbert Louis Johnson, Jr.; brothers, Leslie Risinger, Ronald Risinger; and sister, Rosemary Brooks.

Bertha loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching Survivor, Big Brother and other reality T.V. Shows, along with football and basketball. Bertha was a chocolate enthusiast especially loving Hershey’s. She will truly be missed by those who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Victoria L’Heureux (Anthony); son, Troy Johnson (Sandra); grandchildren, Lauren L’Heureux Hobbs, Casie Johnson, Caitlin Vanover (Charles), Maddie Johnson; great grandchildren, Cody Hobbs, Tanner Hobbs; brother, Joe Risinger (Betty); sister, Linda Allen; daughter-in-law, Lisa Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with cremation to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Sunday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
