Betty Jean Wooldridge

Mrs. Betty Jean Wooldridge, age 81, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Wooldridge was a retired cafeteria worker at North Bullitt High School, a member of the Steadfast Sunday School Class at Little Flock Baptist Church and a lover of butterflies.

Among those who preceded her in death include, her husband, Donald C. Wooldridge; parents, Arthur and Clara Riley and her brother, Edward Riley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Melissa Cecil (Greg) and Larry Anthony Wooldridge (Denise); grandchildren, Clinton Cecil (Michelle), Merissa Cecil, Ian Wooldridge, Andy Wooldridge and Riley Wooldridge; great grandson, Grayson Cecil; her brother, Bill Riley (Helen) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends. In addition, she was "Memaw" to many others.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Little Flock Baptist Church (5510 N. Preston Hwy., Shepherdsville) with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) and on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Imagine Campaign at Little Flock Baptist Church or to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
