Beverly Jean Johnson

Mrs. Beverly Jean Johnson, age 73, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Beverly was born in Louisville, Ky on March 20, 1950, to the late Woodrow and Edith (Lawson) Herdt. She was a life-long member of Bullitt County Memorial Auxiliary Post #5710. She enjoyed her time at the boat gambling, playing bingo and pulling her pull tabs, she liked traveling, especially taking cruises to Bahama’s and her time spent in Las Vegas. Beverly was a social butterfly; she never met a stranger, and she also enjoyed her karaoke nights with friends. She was a terrific mother to her two daughters, a loving Mamaw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a good sister to her siblings. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband Michael E. Johnson, 4 siblings, Frank Herdt, June Buchberger, Rose Phelps, and Pat Collins.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters Robin Cundiff (Woody), and Rashana Gomez  (Chris),12 grandchildren Staci, Tiffany, Dustin, Michele, Savannah, Kaila, Jordan, Destiny, Darrin, Caden, Hudson, Briella, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother Sammy Herdt, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again Thursday February 22, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
