

He was retired after 21years in the Army and served in the Korean War. He was proud to have served his country and loved sharing about his time in Germany and Japan. He worked many years in the auto industry and loved everything about cars. A proud moment in his life was restoring a 1939 Chevy with his son Ross. He was an avid bowler, a sport he enjoyed with his wife and friends for many years.
Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 46 years, Glenda and his son Steven.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Skaggs (Kenny) and his son Ross (Angela); grandchildren Christie, Allen, Megan, Evin (Cameron), and Trent; great grandchildren and his faithful companion, Teddy Bear. Along with many friends and extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday March 8, 2024, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Brooks Road at John Harper Freeway). Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday March 7, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Central Cemetery.
