Charles David Humphrey

Mr. Charles David Humphrey, age 58, of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday January 19, 2019. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 15, 1960 to Mr. Herman Dwight Humphrey and the late Flossie (Woodard) Humphrey.  Mr. Humphrey was a sheet metal worker for Loudon Sheet Metal in Louisville and a member of Shepherdsville Church of God of Prophecy.  Charles David Humphrey was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. He was a true blessing to all his friends and his family.  Mr. Humphrey was an avid Wildcat fan who loved his U of K basketball. He also loved antique cars and was always working on them. Of all the things he loved, he loved his family the most. Charles David Humphrey will be dearly missed.   

Among those who preceded him in death are his mother, Flossie Humphrey; and his brother-in-law Glen Rhoades.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Zack Humphrey, and Scotty Robards; grandson, Brady Barker; father, Herman Dwight Humphrey; the love of his life, Patty Robards Humphrey; brothers and sisters, Carolyn Rhoades, Carrie Tindle (James), Shirley Rupard (Larry), Clayton Humphrey (Kathy), Billy Humphrey (Mary Jane), and Belita Walls (Jerome); several nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with burial to follow in Bullitt Lick Cemetery (2975 Shepherdsville Rd., Shepherdsville Kentucky). Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
