Mr. Poole was born August 18, 1934 in Marion, Virginia and was a retired United States veteran who served in the Navy, Airforce and Kentucky Air National Guard.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents, James Kermit Poole and Carrie Elizabeth Mathena Poole and sister, Mary Ann Widner.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Sandy Poole; children, Saunie Poole Sparks and Byron Poole (Gena); grandchildren, Hope, Sierra, Carlie, Madison, Matthew and Sara; sisters, Shelby Gibson (Jerry) and Joanie O'Dell (Richard) and a host of other family and friends.
Cremation was chosen.
Friends may pay their respects on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a memorial service held at 3:30 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.).
