Clyde "Teddy" Bishop

Clyde “Teddy” Bishop, age 82 of Brooks, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 19, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Bishop was born in Clendenin County, West Virginia on May 4, 1940 to the late Lawrence Bishop and Wavie Belcher.

"Teddy" loved and lived life to the fullest. He was a member of Harvest Baptist church in Fairdale. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a master craftsman with hand wood carvings. Enjoyed taking rides on his horses and motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his three brothers, two nieces and two nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Rita Bishop of 59 years; daughter, Donetta Bishop (Aaron Williams); son, Duwayne Bishop; grandchildren, Bo Bishop (Morgan), Brandon Bishop (Regina), Devin Bishop, Dakota Baumgardner (Sean); six great granddaughters; eight siblings; a host of brother-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd). Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 12 noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central Radcliff, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:30.
