Dana C. Kays

    Dana Kays, age 51, of Bardstown, KY returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 18th, 2022.   He was born in Jefferson County, KY on May 24th, 1971 to Linda Bennett Kays and the late Carl Kays.

     He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, having received his degree in 1994.  He was currently employed as a pharmacist for Chewy Pharmacy.

    In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his nephew, Brandon Clark.

    He leaves to cherish his memory the mother of his children, Kara Kays; two daughters, Lindsey Kays Jarboe (Joshua) and Madeline Kays Turner (Deven); three sisters, Dwana Clark (Randy), Kelly Tillett (Tim), and Courtney Briney (Chris); stepmother, Glenda Kays and a host of other nephews, relatives and friends.

    Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, July 21st, 2022, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in the Brookland Cemetery.  Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
